The one thing I have seem to be drawn to lately is package design. I just am amazed with the different looks and creativity out there. While I am not new to the package design field – I do teach a course on it at the New Design School – I want to be more involved in this particular area. The fact that the product is the 3D’s – developed, designed and distributed – to many different parts of the country or even the world, is amazing. While my experience with package design has been geared towards a simplistic design (which I am a big fan of anyway) I want to explore a more creative field. I will be hitting the concept development this week and next to come up with some prototype designs just to explore the possibilities.
