Closely admire your fingerprints…

For this weeks project, closely admire your fingerprints, I found myself doing something I did as a child. Trying to follow an entire line around my fingers, how it doesn’t stay strictly on the fingers, how it goes down the fingers, past knuckles, around fingers, down into your palm, the same chaotic, but reasoned pattern all over the bottoms of our hands. I looked at my son’s prints and I thought more about his than mine. Well, indirectly they are mine as well. I made his prints, there is a part of me in his prints. Did I make the arched curves around his finger tips, or am I the space between the lines on his fingertips. Just as the prints slowly dissipate into our skin so will my life vanish into the light. The strongest feeling I have is knowing that I will continue in him and hopefully he will have the same feeling with his son or daughter.

I know the project is to closely admire my fingerprints, I find in admiring his I am in turn, admiring mine.
